Found both a 1916 British penny and an '86 commemorative half in a box of halves today - my second '86 commemorative this week, if you can believe it.

Anyone have info on either coin? Will post pics soon I hope.

I'm assuming that there British large cent is from England yo. That 86' commemorative can be sold for 5 bucks so basically you can exchange it for a 40 percenta. I have a few thinkin bout selling them.

I'm assuming that there British large cent is from England yo.

They are from the United Kingdom and they are NOT cents. They are pennies. They are not British either, since N. Ireland uses the Pound sterling, and it is not part of Great Britain.

Nice finds!
I've found 3 of the large copper disks with a bearded King of England gracing their obverse so far while CRH boxes.
They go into my "That's a Neat Lookin' Old Coin" folder.

I keep my '86 Statue of liberty commemorates in my circulated proofs folder.
