No, It's not a D, but I'll gladly take it.

Decided to get out for a couple hours. Sweated my butt off and probably furnished enough blood for an entire generation of mosquitoes, but I think I found a decent spot. Found a ton of wheats and only one zinc penny, so that's good. I was getting a bit wore out until I hit this merc. Was only about two inches down. I nearly fainted when I saw the date. She is toasted. Had to wait to get home to clean her up a bit and look for the coveted D mint mark, but alas, none to be had. Gave me the motivation to keep hunting for another hour, though. Thanks for looking! Dan

Nice find I have a 1916 and still look for the d on it and a 1909 vdb no s I wish there was a way to install a mint mark lol great find bet there's more silver if you got all those wheats

I love finding those thin ol' mercs. Grats and way to work it! Get some serious bug spray and... .... .... ...GET BACK OUT THAR!

I've got a bottle of Muskol 100% deet courtesy of my grandfather's tackle box that I plan on taking on my next hunt. Literally kills mosquitoes on contact! :laughing7:

a beautiful sight for sore eyes for sure!

Great work. Silver coins are always a treat even with d bugs.

Love the glint of Silver in the hole. Keeps ya pumped up that's for sure. Wtg!

Love the Mercs, even the ugly ones are pretty!
