I found a 20x30foot area that looks prime, should I ever find the time to give it a good hunt. 1909, 1920(x2), 1922, and 1930 wheats.

I have a feelin'....

Cheers

I think you should uproot that whole area, box it up, and ship it out to the Pacific Northwest so that we can hunt stuff like that too....nice job on the silver!!!

I was tempted to. I would dig it up and park it in my backyard. I can barely get any time to hunt with two young children. A friend from Washington St. tells me the parks are paved with old silver. Lol.

If you could get this friend to tell me where these parks are I would gladly go check them out...for scientific reasons of course!

Nice merc. You checked it for a mint mark?

Yes, but I didn't see one. Is there a more valuable mint Mark for this date?

Thanks

The 1917d is worth 3 times as much as the one with no mint mark. Avg circulated 1917d price is around $7.50

Nice! Great silver and wheats! Congrats!

Was this the fast version of detecting?

The 1909 is an S mint but no vdb. It's rough though so...

The Merc has no mint Mark

I flew around until I hit a patch of wheats and nailed the Merc. It was definitely the fast "power" version of detecting. I'll recheck when I get as half day off.
