So yesterday I found a mysterious depression in the dirt and as I stepped over it a hole formed. The hole opened up into an underground chamber that turned out to be the passanger seat of an an early 20th century automobile. Inside the automobile was a timecapsule of 1930's art deco designs and artifacts. I excavated the vehicle a little but didn't have time to dig anything besides the interior cab, will return today to dig more. Last night my reserch revealed this vehicle is likely a 1936-1941 Packard Buisness Coupe, a luxury car that would have belonged to someone with some cash to spare.

A truly one of a kind and unique find for Treasure Net and one that is worthy of a Banner! My Banner vote is in. I can't wait to see what else you find in the car and especially in the trunk and glove compartment.

Now that's something I've never heard of being found in the ground without a metal detector! :occasion14:

The owner probably abandoned it after a night of heavy drinking, then couldn't find it in the morning. :laughing7:

Last Activity Jun 03. I hope he's just busy excavating.
or busy counting the millions of unmarked bills and gold bars, in a private place.

Exactly. Probably a crime scene though from awhile ago.

Farmers and home owners have buried cars for years. It was Just a way to get rid of them/or out of the way. It wasn't until like what ,20 or 30 years ago when old cars started having some value as scrap metal . Then they got cleaned up/removed .

I’m still looking for my old AMC Eagle. It’s actually in the bottom of a pond. That’s what 16 and vodka will result in. That was tough to explain

lol, work with a guy who still drives one of those. He's told all of us the history of that model a few times. My question is, was there so much vodka you don't even remember which pond its in?

The closest I can come to this adventure is this 1929 Essex Super Six I found while metal detecting back in 1969. Of course I didn't dig it, but found it by an abandoned barn.

No that part was a slight exaggeration lol. But it’s still there. I was in a huge sand pit and drove down a steep bank....didn’t know there was a deep pond at the bottom. No way to get it out where it was located. So there she sits. That car was awesome in the snow. Long cold stagger home. Mom was none too happy. Unfortunately it took many years for me to learn my lesson.
