Unusual find. Kinda makes you wonder how coins wind up where they do??
I found one of those in the Flint River just down stream from Albany Georgia dated 1941. Yours is in much better shape than mine. I thought that maybe it was made of aluminum because of the war and other metals were being used for the war effort? But, I don't really know. Perhaps, brought back by a service member and later lost? Cool find for sure!
