1950's Street Vendor Badge, Mex Silver Coin, Merc

Honey hole does it again... Joined car91rs for a quick hunt this morning and had a lot fun...

car91rs decided to skip detecting and instead opted out for dig&sift.

My first find turned out be a Silver Mexican coin which was possible made into a tie clip or money clip based on the broken clasp in the back. My second find a 1943 D Merc and finally an unknown date Buffalo nickel. Also, dug up a blue bowl and some marbles.

Note to self: don't try to bend finds... Cracked the vendors badge [emoji15]

Enjoy the pics

Your Mexican coin looks like a Peso coin. As such, it would weigh about 16.66 g (by itself) and have a diameter of 34 mm; composed of 0.720 silver. The date appears to end with a "0". The series ran from 1920 to 1945--with interruptions. Yours is probably the 1940 version based on the date of your other items and the fact that none were minted in 1930 and only about 8.8 million in 1920 compared to 20 million in 1940.

I like that badge! It would be cool to put all your marbles or something in that bowl
