This is a metal detector find. There is no reeding on the edge of this coin. What happened? It doesn't look filed or hammered on. Is it worth more than 10 cents? Thanks! DD
Hi Digger, You can see that the rim is larger, thicker, and flattened down more than a normal dime. That's where the reeding went. We call them dryer coins. It's post mint damage and a spender.
