Searching at the Colorado State fair grounds and was trying to complete my goal of getting $10 in quarter's. Needed just one to complete the goal and dug up a quarter that looked strange. turned out to be a 1970 D thin quarter. Mint used sheet of dime material and The current value depending on quality...$80 low...$300 high. Best coin yet!

I used to live in Colorado and I found some my best stuff that I've ever found so far in your state. I've never seen or heard of the quarter you mention but it sounds like an awesome find. Those misstrikes and errors can be rare and valuable.
