✅ SOLVED 1970s Celtics Basketball Shirt with velcro on back. What's up with this?

I know absolutely zero about sports stuff. I found this old shirt while picking in a pile of junk this morning. $2 Anyone got anything on this Celtics jersey? Based on tag it is 1970s. It has snaps on front; clovers on both arms. And, strangely, velcro on back which seems to indicate a removable name? Why?
