I was cruising along at a snails pace and the silence of the last half hour was demanding I confirm the machine was in all-metal mode. Then, out of nowhere, near an old sawn stump I detected a strong signal reading only a few inches deep.

Hot Wheels! It looked rough at first but after soaking it for only a minute and blowing out the dirt it is pretty well preserved for it's age. The interior is of course immaculate, both front and rear windows are intact. All four tires spin freely and the paint is only maybe %20 chipped. Despite being well past my match-box car days, I couldn't resist taking it for a spin...Suprisingly I still remember how to make the engine revving sounds...haha!!!

It doesn't look like a '77 "muscle car" (which is an oxymoron) to me.....more like an early T-bird.

Probably right. Hot Wheels made mostly fantasy cars I think (that's why I called it a 'muscle car'), whereas match-box were more realistic. The writing on the bottom just says "Hot Wheels, Mattel, Hong Kong, 1977"...
