Not really my kind of an artifact but it did remind me a lot of me growing up with these futuristic type toy cars. I have found a lot of toy cars but not many matchbox, usually older tootsies and midgetoys. I was surprised at the condition of this one, it only needed a car wash and detailing. Really though, not my thing.

It is a find, and thats what we are out there for. I do agree though Id much rather find the tootsie toys and midge toys.

Thanks for sharing VN. Some hunts are like that, they make the ones where we find killer items that much more special.

Happy Memorial Day.

And here I was picturing a sterling silver match case. :P

Oh well... still better than a bottle cap or pull tab :)

Mixing it up a little with different finds keeps you guessing whats next!

As long as it doesn't sting, bite, or want to take me home it's a good find! :sly:

I do see the look of a lure being cast out there, but I said 1979...should have said '79 match box found in old trash pit. That would have sounded better eh.

Sure is futuristic. I was a Hot Wheels Kid myself. Speaking of futuristic weren't we all supposed to be cruising around in flying cars by now LOL

It's still a nice one.
And I remember those "cars of the future". Some were pretty insane and a few actually turned out to actually look like the cars of the future.
