i do keep everything unordinary, my binder is filling up.. one day im going to be rich, just like all you folks cheers, keep your eye out for more pics,, i have only posted like 3 percent of my findings, i have many diecracks, unplated cents, maybe a few dds, my problem is my camera sucks so i dont post much, things like this need closely inspected.. thanks again
For pennies dated 1982, when both copper and zinc cents were made, the safest and best way to determine their composition is to weigh them. Solid copper pennies weigh 3.11 grams (+/- 0.130 g.), whereas the copper plated zinc pennies weigh only 2.5 grams (+/- 0.100 g.).
