Aloha y'all, i am new here and need to learn. I want to offer my sincere appreciation for what time and feedback i might recieve from all who might help. Thank you.
so.. on to the penny; By comparison.. to my untrained and unguided eye: the lettering is closer to the rim than most all the other 82's I have, the 2 is close to the rim again by my comparitive observation, the top of the eight is noticeably smaller than the bottom.
It weighs 3.18grams. Is this # 3?
Help please.

Welcome to the forum! No, that's a large date, you want the one that has the 2 farther from the rim.

!!oh yeah, wow. The shape of the '2' is remarkably different. Oh I also see another thing I did. I became fix ated on the idea that the top hole in the 8 in my photograph is obviously smaller than the bottom hole but the eighth itself is much larger than the 2.
I.cutler: thank you Teaching me a little something said I want to to learn. And Thanks for welcoming me in.
