1993 D Halves. What's the deal?

Been going through a couple boxes of halves. Every other roll or so there are some edges that pop out at me. I pull them out and every single one of them has been a shiny 1993D. I have 25-30 so far. Is this a freak occurrence? Is there something special about the 93D? Why? Why? Why?

I just did a box earlier this week. And I bet at least 50% of it was bright shiny 80, 85, and 86 coins. If not more. Had a ton of mid 80's coins in shiny shape that had never seen a casino.

Mine have been 1995D and 1996D lately. Brand spanking new, with LOTS in a box. Just ahppens once in a while and then you get new ones for a while of a certain date. It's just the 1993D's for you right now. give it a month and maybe it will be the 1992P Or the 1986D. You never know. Just boxes being put into circulation somewhere and you got some from a fresh introduction.

:-)

Haha! Seriously? I just chunked them in the muck pile... I was wondering if one day I would be saying to myself "I wish I had $1,000 in half dollars". Is there really a chance they could be worth anything in say 20 years?

I average 2-3 bright and shiny (I don't want to say BU), but moreless AU halves that pop out to me. I toss them back. I get 5-10 nice and shiny BU 1989 halves per batch of 2 boxes as well.

I had this one box with so many 95's and 96's (super shiny with thin rims) I had to stop counting. But out of 1000 halves from that box, at least 300 of them were 95/96
