So I found this dime in my till today and it stuck out like a sore thumb. It's golden in color and I've never seen one this color. I may have just not been paying much attention before. I'm not an avid collector of coins but I do find this one very interesting. Idk if maybe it's been plated, or put through a tumbler, or it's just normal wear and tear but there seems to be what look like some sort of chemical marks on the front face of the coin. It's hard to tell in the photographs but when looking at it it doesn't seem to look like there is any nickel plating on it. I'm just curious to know what I have here.

Looks like it's just discolored from being in contact with probably water or something.
Coins come out of the ground with a lot if various colors.

Welcome to T Net!

Had to reply, as I've produced several of these myself, by accidentally allowing a cent coin in a load of dimes, in my rock tumbler -
when I'm washing my finds.....So, I might be your problem....! :laughing7:
Attractive coin, though, wouldn't you say?
