1999 d penny with visual spacing

Today I found a 1999 D penny with spacing between the I and b in liberty. Please give me your thoughts on this.

The shinier metal between the "I" and the "B" but closer to the "I" is definitely an indication that the metal next to the "I" took a hit and moved the "I" towards the "L". In the future, you might want to post coins with definite or possible Errors or Varieties in the Coin forum.
