well, i took the Explorer to the same old school i went to yesterday with similar results. 2 wheaties, a 54 and a 41, and a silver roosevelt, a 1960. i didnt post pics cause im sure you all know what a roosie looks like, but i was happy to get it. silver has been few and far between lately. im really happy with the new explorer! it has done way better than i was expecting. now all i have to do is find more time to get out and hunt!

Glad to see you finally gave in and bought an Explorer, I suppose it was the SE that finally pushed you over the edge. Ive noticed that you have been on the fence about buying one for quite a long time. Im sure you wont regret it,though Im know you will be kicking yourself for not buying one a lot sooner. Its difficult and there are tons of sounds but I would try and work the iron mask down to around -14 and though its contrary to what you have probably always been used to I would start hunting in ferrous sounds, it makes it a lot easier to make a digging decision on the iffys,HH...Shoot

Hey HP! Silver is always sweet. I got out this afternoon with the DD1400 on the DFX. The park I hit has been pounded hard by myself & others. Picked some 60's clad at 5 inch average depth but no silver. Got a whopping 3 lincolns, 2 nickels & 1 dime. Wanted to get out today as it is going to be 9 degrees tomorrow night. It was 51 today.

Seems to be a running theme on here today. I scored my first silver ring today. Not a Rosie, but fun all the same! Congrats ;D
