thought the same exact thing...most jewery store will jipped ya on the price...you better know exactly what your doing if you take gold or sterling to a jewery store or you will be mad when you find out how much they jipped you after it is long gone....

i cant remember exactly but maybe 3-4 grams for both?

It's too late in this circumstance, but in Maryland gold buyers need a license and must keep your stuff for 18 days. You might check the law in your state. The next time someone says "Hey that store gave me $20 for all my gold :D ", you can tell them to go get it back and you'll pay them 25% more.

If the gold buyer didn't keep the gold as is law . . . well I would demand a "sellers regret" fee of 100% the price, or else the state will be calling.
