Helo everyone.
My mom drove me to the bank and I picked up 1 box of nickels and 2 boxes of pennies. I got kind of nervous when I saw the reaction on the tellers face when I asked, but I found out she forgot to order boxes last week. I still got what i wanted though. One penny box was opened. The teller asked if it was okay. After looking at the box I took it anyway. I figured the box that was open would give me less than the box that was sealed, but that was not the case.
1st penny box(opened)-
Wheats: 1940, 2-1941, 3-1944 1945, 1946, 1950, 1952, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958
6 Canadians
2nd Penny box(sealed)
Wheats: 1917-D, 2-1936, 1937, 1941, 1944, 2-1945, 1947, 1951, 1952, 1956, 1957
3 Canadians
139 1994-D pennies(uncirculated) ???
Box of Nickels
31 pre 1960
1-1945-P Silver
1970-S proof
1-Canadian
I had a lot of fun. If anyone could tell me why there was 139 1994-d in uncirculated condition in my box I would greatly appreciate it.
Happy hunting Thank you Now I have to get rid of $150 in change :icon_pirat:

Nice score on the wheaties. The 1970S Jefferson is probably not a proof. The mint produced both business strikes and proofs. Unless it has a mirror finish it probably is a business strike.

Good job. Those wheats will be worth something when you are your mom's age. Granted, they are worth something even now, but I think over time they will become more valauble. keep ahold of them. :-)

Check the nickel to make sure it is proof. The mint made a ton of 1968S, 1969S, 1970S and released them as normal coins. That's not true of the dime or quarter, but the nickels had San Fran mint marks on normal coins. But if it is a proof, that would be awesome. They are RARE to get while crh. PROOF HALVES COME OFTEN, BUT NOT NICKELS.

Either way though, you did great. Good job! :icon_thumleft:
