2 bucket lists finds during a banner of a day out detecting!!

One of the best days out detecting this year, two bucket list items!

Bucket List Item #1 Seated Liberty half dollar: I haven't found any seated coin larger than a dime so far, I skipped right over quarter and hit the half dollar lotto! It's in amazing condition, looks like it was dropped a couple weeks after it was minted. Additionally, I have been in a silver half dollar dry spell, Nov 10th 2013 was the last time I found one. One of the property owners next to the one I was on came out just as I found it. I shared my excitement with him and long story short he gave me the green light to detect his 1860's mansion on 6+ acres!

Bucket List Item #2 Working Toy Cannon: I see variations of these types of cannons posted from time to time and every single time I tell myself that is something I want to find. It just blows me away that they would make mini-working cannons and lets kids play with them. The sad part is when I found it in the field, I did not even know what I had, I thought it was a broken handle to a drawer pull or something and did not pay any attention to it. I was video recording all my finds as I found them as I'm going to dabble in YouTube videos at some point. I did not even record what is a bucket list item for me, but it was a pleasant surprise when I got home and started cleaning it off. Can anyone tell me anything about it, possible age?

As far as the remainder of the items they just complemented what was a banner day for me.

Question: The 1837 seated dime, first year of the series, on the reverse, is that after minting damage, or possible some sort of bubble in the blank used to create the dime? If so, does that add any value to it? Also, according to my price guide there were large date and small date variations on this year, can someone tell me what I have?

Question: Does anyone have an idea what the "what's it" is?

Amazing hunt and great post. That cannon is just awesome man... is it brass? That half and the CT button are also awesome. You did have a killer hunt and looking forward to your next post from there and from the neighbors house.

Killer Hunt!! The pics just kept going and going and going. That was a heck of a day for anyone.

Super fantastic hunt. I don't know much about the toy cannon, but the seated half is one of the nicest I've seen. BTW, those Indians look like they have room for improvement with additional cleaning. The rough surface may not all be corrosion, just grime on the surface. After they've soaked a while in olive (or mineral) oil, you may want to try working them with a toothpick.

Just saw this thread, feel like it slipped away far too soon. Incredible finds! I've never really seen the true beauty in a seated before, at least till you brought that half back to life. Holy cow. Thanks for the careful documentation and pro photos.
