Good idea. I believe Garrett already has 2 coils in one, but I dont think they operate seperately. :-\

This sounds like a good idea. However...

I'm not an expert, but from my Ham Radio days we always had to be careful because one wound coil near another wound coil can cause induction between them (even if one of them is not energized).

Maybe we have an antenna online who can answer the question.
