2 More Barber Dimes :

1908 in very poor condition,
found at about 6 inches under a very thick root.

and a 1905, in Nice Condition at about 4" in Very hard Ground

Nice finds Jeff. Your soil looks just like mine right now. Dry hard and compacted tightly.

I scratched a merc yesterday sticking right in the side of the clay. This time of year sucks a little.

You get the real heavy grey oxidation on your silver to. The kind that's like impossible to get off.

Still 2 barbers is a nice hunt.

Nice Finds Jeff.. Still waiting for silver myself but its nice to see what others are coming up with.. I can't relate to the soil though, as upstate NY has had so much rain the past month or so a lot of holes that I dig are very muddy. Anyway HH Midnightguy

Hi Jeff
Great coins and pics. I love how you teased us with the clad before the whoppers. Hope you get some rain soon. Boomed real good here last night.
