Good Job GEO !, the 69er is lovely.

Your last hunt, sorry no reply, had a couple interesting finds, but this one is much better.

PS was talking to D.K. recently. Glad your getting out, seems everyone is now.

Very nice 69!!!

The other looks plain, to me, not toast, I have many 'Civvy' plain types.

Thanks, Crusader. I've found so many military buttons there, I assumed it was one too. :)

I know what you mean, but for me it's often the other way around. I have to find quite a few plain/civvy decor type before I get a Military. Not unusual over here to have them mixed together, I think I remember IP say the same for him.

Can be mixed, but our % is very high so when we dig a pewter there's a good chance it will be military. Pretty much all our Rev War period military have the edge eaten up, so it's a real drag when a nice large round pewter button pops out back side up and you think you finally hit a nice one, and ends up being plain.

I do agree it's a plain button. They don't really wear so much you can't see anything. Not like coins.

I have the same feeling when a really good plain one pops out. Dad had an OK one yesterday, even had a small circle in the middle to make you look harder.
