The last 2 hunts I went on I found 20 and 10 pieces. My best day yet! It did take me 8 hours to find the 20 and out of that 5 were whole. Found 3 broken drills too. Out of the 10 piece day 9 of them were whole! Also a shark tooth fossil I found in the same creek. Not sure if it would have been from when we were under ocean waters or brought from a glacier, or even an indian artifact.. If anyone has ideas on the point types please let me know. The biggest one is 3 3/4 inches.

WOW!!!

That must be one heck of a creek to produce that many artifacts in 2 hunts. You are lucky to have such a great place to hunt.

Congrats on your find and thanks for the great pictures.

Thanks everyone, I'm going out again today. It rained lightly all night and is about to let up. Lars I'm not sure why there all there, everything is timber all around so theres no fields to hunt. I assume there were just alot of camps all along this. I walk it from where its a trickle of a ditch at the property line down to where it dumps into the river. Its over 2 miles "as the crow flies" which has got to be twice that at least when i follow all the bends.

Great hunt! Congrats on a fun couple of days.

Can you take a picture of the piece you have labeled as #12 in the group shot? That one looks like it could be a very old one.

Man that is an awesome group of photos and points. I think that the Indians camped on those gravel bars along with the sites along the banks!

Very nice finds. The creeks should really be loaded down in that area with all the rain. I was in New London on Saturday for an auction and got out for about 6 hours and found a lot of stuff. The fields are washed completely flat also. Congrats on the good hunts.

Yes that #12 does look old, its uniface and 1 1/2" long and 9/16" wide. The tip is made that way kinda squared off, not broken.

And heres 2 others I found yesterday in same creek, which also may be old. I think they may show a little flute or an attempted flute.
