I got this on the half off sale today for $48. The 2003 MSRP on the sticker inside the box is $130. I feel this 2003 music box sells too low on ebay, but what do you think? It is flawless and plays "Silver Bells". My instincts told me to buy it. Let me know.

looks like they are going for 50 to 65 dollars.. would probably bring double if Christmas wasn't 10 months away ... off season so half off at this current time?

I'd say hold onto it until fall before listing. If they are going for $50-65 now I'd assume they can go for at least $70-90 a month or two before Xmas. Just a blind guess, though.

Good advice on holding on to it until the Christmas season. You have to be careful with Waterford crystal. Although it is a trusted name brand and collectible, many pieces can be found on ebay for a fraction of the retail price. Also anything marked Marquis by Waterford was made after 1991. Not saying it's worthless because some pieces are worth big bucks, just saying do your research before pulling the trigger unless it's very cheap. I probably wouldn't have paid more than $20 for that box myself and that's only because it has the original box.

It is crazy. Some of the ther years music boxes sell for $100 - $200 on Ebay and replacements.com is selling some for up to $350. Wow, I got a less collectible one, something seems off, but thanks for everyones advice. HH

Something seems off? Do you think there is conspiracy to keep the price of 2003 Waterford Music Boxes artificially low? :laughing7: Probably the same cartel that keeps the price of silver low?

No, not at all. I am curious as to why the price varies so much from 1996 - 2005 for each years music box, that was all.

I'm just kidding with you. I stay away from crystal, most of it just doesn't sell in my limited experience.

Took an offer today for $50 shipped. Happy to move it now, especially with BINs costing 30 cents to list now.

Live and learn - we all have had losers! only lost about $15, could have been worse!
