Sorry, not an error. Coins can tone a hundred different ways for a hundred different reasons, usually a reaction to a foreign chemical. In coin collecting, it would be considered pmd or post mint damage.

Can you get a tighter shot on his eye/cheek? There are errors known as double eye Lincoln’s. From the image, it looks like there might be something there but I can’t tell for certain.
