one of my nickel "stash" boxes gave it up--these puppies are scarce----add a clean 39, '51, '42-S, a few more errors + another dozen or so high MS Jeffs.

14,520 nickels so far this year, and I've found three 2009s. Pretty sure all three were D as well, since I live in WA. For comparison, I've also found three war nickels, and three 20 pence coins.

People think they are rare. They were the lowest mintage nickels in a long time. But they are not rare by any means. Maybe in a 100 years they will be worth a few bucks
