Please bump me up to 19..Found four more silvers at a local fairgrounds... i cant believe this place still has silver. Its been pounded. All of them were less than 8 inches deep, and only one of them was laying flat (1940 merc) the rest were on edge and less than 6 inches deep. The 54-d rosie was vertical at about 4 inches with a pulltab next to it, and only went off in one direction..Also found several wheaties including a 1918 thats pretty nice, and a Good Luck token with someones name and the date on it 1947.... I tried hunted for about 2 hours, and when i got the merc and rosie, i was hoping to find a barber, but with no luck. Ive never had a trifecta, so it would have been cool...

Hello IL Guys!

OK, so I grew up and graduated HS from a small NW IL town...I just retired from the USAF and will be moving back to that same little town in Sep ( :hello2:)...

I know I'll be jumping in on the butt end of this coin tally but I'd like to join in...soooo, look out guys, here I come!

I'm pretty good with a detector (been at it since I was 12)...and hope to see my name in the top 10 silver finders!

Well, if I can't accomplish it in 2011, I hope to in 2012!

I'm game!!

Thanks,
Ang in Alaska!

Well Ang, jump on in and join the fun with the Northern Illinois Bunch

I've seen some of you're posts from Alaska and yes, you are a force to be reconed with
with all those recent recoveries at your base :D :D.

When you get up to this neck of the woods, chime in and we'll get a group together
so you & your significant other can join us on a few hunts.

Take care,
watercolor

Thanks All!

Can't wait to join in the fun! Dad just told me it's supposed to be 60 in NW IL today! Well, I have 10 (above) here in AK and a 60% chance of snow for the next 5 days!

Keep your finds coming and keep posting them here, it's as close as I can get to an old silver dug dime right now!

Say, silver just hit $32.80! Your silver dimes are almost worth $3.00 scrap value!

Think sunshine! :icon_sunny:

Allright IL! Lets get up to 100 before the end of the month. That's only 43 silvers from all of us in the next 10 days. I think we can do it.

Good Luck and HH! :icon_thumright: :icon_thumleft:
