2012 stuff so far...

I am a rookie at metal detecting... started last May... I'm hooked... love the history, the searching, the research, and yes the silver! Here are some things I found in the last 3 months... my first Barber coin and first large cent.

Welcome to the hobby! Is that a ladies makeup compact above the silver dimes? If so have you managed to open it to see what is inside? Might be a coin or two inside if you are lucky. Oh and above the large cent looks like that might be a old watch fob, does it have any writing on it? Looks like you are doing fine! Happy hunts CARM.

The thing above the coins is some kind of lid to something with initials EPCO.. could have been a makeup lid... not sure

The item above the large cent is actually a room number door plaque from an old hotel that use to be in the town where I live... it was room #9...
