Um...I'll be the smarty-pants that provides the obvious answer: they're worth $0.25.
Ok that's apparently not actually true. An article I just read says:
> A worn 2020-W quarter can fetch between $5 and $10.
> A 2020-W quarter in average uncirculated condition is generally worth $15 to $20.
Honestly I didn't even know about these - thanks for asking the question.
My knowledge of coins is pretty limited, but since I'm here now I'll tell you what I know. The W is for the West Point mint. I think these quarters were first produced in 2020 for the purpose of being collectible. I remember earlier in the year they were worth a good amount, but they have probably depreciated a bit since then. More than face value, though, I think. I think there are different national parks on the back.
There are 2 million Ws minted for each design so they will always hold a premium over .25 value. Consider that P and D mints are usually 150 million plus minted so the W are much rarer. 2019 had 5 designs with W. 2020 had 5 W designs with v75 privy in addition to the W.
I'm actually selling an almost Uncirculated one right now in the classifieds for $20. I'm buying rolls like crazy, so I'll find another one eventually. I'm in to the older coins anyway.
Yes they are worth money. I have found about 310 of them so far. I have sold them for $8 or so in circulated condition up to about $40 in BU, depending on the date/type. 2019 W AMPs sell for the most.
