I had to be at the Indianapolis moter speedway today a 6am and i was shoot thew the day and got some great sales out of to

i decied after work to go out hunting after and rember a small area the i have not hunted in quite some time so i grabed the whites 5id and '

had one heck of a day

24 quarters
39 dimes
16 nickels ]
121 pennys

totaling 200 coins ( not my one day record 412 but still nice to get back over 50 in one day

then there is the sweetheat cain of the day

29.25 inchs
18k gold
.4 oz and very bling bling

im a photographer out at the track for AP this was at a old scholl yard field that i have not hunted in about 5 yeasr or so last time was not as good as this time

I'm not sure getting it appraised is necessary unless it's a high end company like Tiffany. Regular chains are generally worth melt (gold) value when you sell it.

If the .4 really is troy oz then it's about 12.4 grams. If the scale is regular ozs
(not sure of the technical term but the same ozs used for cereal etc) then it's about 11.5 grams.

If its 11.5 grams then it's about 8.6 grams of pure gold. 8.6 divided by 31.1 equals .277 Troy oz. .277 times $1590 equals about $440 real value.

Appraisals tend to be inflated and for insurance purposes.
