2nd session since the start of harvest:: not much to show for it as the stubble is very stiff as yet and it stops a good swing action with the detector and also you can't get the head very low.
but l did get :: A nice Lead Pilgrims Ampulla .. also .. A really nice Traders 17th century Token.
The Token reads:: JONATHAN BROWNE :: IN CAMBRIDGE : it's undated and does not show it's value but l expect it was one farthing. Hutch.

Not a 'rare' token as such but its much better than average condition for these brass 'Farthings' (17th C). Jonathan was a Grocer.

The Ampulla is a nice rare find & in pretty good shape for a ploughed field. I can see the shell pattern reverse, but what's on the front?

Front of the Ampulla is a bit pushed in, and makes it difficult to make out. could be a flur de lys with a x under it . but as l say not clear. Hutch
