Was on some old land today. There are several colonial houses in the area, 1770s, and some cellars holes. Also lots of fields.

I didnt find squat around the cellars :icon_scratch:

So I moved to the fields and ended up finding two keepers and firsts for me. 1/2 an ox shoe and a crotal bell.

No coins today, not even clad, but i have high hopes. The season is just getting started. :hello2::tongue3:

Good finds your like me I go out in the winter also as long as the ground isnt froooozen!! Looks like an old area keep pounding that youll find some goodies!!!!

Crotal Bells are always nice finds. Congrats on your first.

Hate to be picky but it's a Sleigh Bell not a Crotal Bell which has a totally different way of hanging from a loop, not riveted on a band of leather.

Im here to learn! Thank you for the i.d..

Well done. I admire your passion, as I'm not sure I'd last very long swinging through the fallen snow. I sure hope the ground was not frozen!

Very nice crotal. Awesome find.
