Hello everyone,

I got out for about three hours and went to a favorite spot, a mansion that was built in the 1870s. There was a log cabin there as well that was built in the 1850s or 1860s that is no longer standing. This site has given up some pretty neat things. I was hunting near the old barn on the property and found a couple of lantern pieces, a heel tap, the tip to a cane, a 1941 wheat and this really neat piece of victorian jewelry!! I also found two clad quarters and lots of aluminum foil and other junk. Has anyone ever seen a piece of jewelry like this or know exactly what it is? My Fiance says that it looks like a piece for a stick pin. Anyway, thats my find for the day. Take care and HH!

Wow....that's very cool! I'm thinking it's a dangle earring. It looks like it might have attached to a wire and then had some little stone or something attached at the bottom with a little ring. Just a thought.

It looks to me to be a central pendant for a necklace. Chain goes through the top bail and more loose chain or stones hang from the bottom. It's also deco style, not victorian. Very nice piece.

I agree with Caryl.
Very nice find Fox.
I've had the pleasure of finding some neat decorative jewelry pieces with flowing haired ladies at the 1830's house I hunt.
Congrats to you. That will look great in a display.
