Wanted to do a Former Jr. High School
Grass wasn't Mowed.

Nobody at the Football field Behind it To let me In,
& I Didn't want to run up to the High school & Ask
them to send somebody down with the Key
so I Could Detect. So I Settled for the Park.

Jeff is it me or are people in Pa just really tight with their change.... I keep seeing posts of people in Cali finding like $8.00 a hour- and I'm wondering how I can hit a park here in Nepa and work it all day only to come out with like $3-4 in clad.... lol. :tongue3: that knife is cool....

rock on man. :headbang:

So far the most Ive Found in a pocket Dump in PA was $1.75, 7 Quarters in a park next to a baseball field..Looked like an Early 1990's loss as nothing was dated over 1991, and the earliest was an 1982 3" deep.. But Im not finding the clad that alot of other areas are posting..

Nice Hunt today Jeff

Good job Jeff...I actual love hunting old parks. It is the only hunting I seem to find time to do as of late.

Went out today at lunch time and found a 1949 Roosevelt dime, a 1918 Merc, one wheatie and two IHs (have not cleaned yet so no dates) This park has produced around 10 large cents since I started detecting it a few months back.

Since some of the city parks I hunt have only meter parking I'm just happy if I get back enough clad to cover what I put in the meter.

Good luck with getting into the football field and swimming pool areas.

I recently hit a festival site that gave up about $8 in dropped change, 2 rings and HUNDREDS of pull tabs.... It took me 5+ hours to do that...

So today the park I wanted to hunt was having the grass cut and around here a crew of 20 people or so come in like worker ants and do the entire city park at once.

This post inspired me to do an experiment. I went to another park that is close by and went straight to the area with all the basketball courts think that with the fill it would not produce any oldies but I would maximize my clad finds. Focusing on quarter signals I was able to dig $5 in quarters and around another 50 cents in pennies, nickels and dimes. Also got a nice silver ring with a black opal setting. All done during an hour hunt.

Not the $8 an hour someone else mention in CA but not too shabby for NJ. I did spend $1 on the meter so the profit was $4.50 and a nice silver ring. So now that the grass is cut in the other park that is where I'm heading tomorrow in search of large coppers.

Well at least it's something Jeff.

How old's that park and did ya ever yank any silvers outta there?

Yous can keep that rain.

Finally nice here after a week and half of continous rain.

Really tired of the wet weather.
