I have seen several 3 Merry Widow's tins, but all the others have the complete name and a different design. Has anyone seen one like this before? How old is this style? Odd that is states it is ONLY for prevention of disease.

I've found at least six of the other 3MW's this year but I've never seen one like that. There isn't much out there on the net as far as research or facts about them. My guess would be that it is a newer design. Just a guess.

Neat top. I would say its more recent. I have found the older ones with less writing on them.

Agnes-Mabel-Beckie were the names embossed on the tin of the Three Merry Widows brand of condoms. It would not have been easy for Quentin’s lovers to obtain these reusable rubber items, contraception not being favourably regarded in Mississippi. Cornstock laws had been introduced in the 1880s effectively banning access to contraception or information about birth control. This legislation was not reversed until 1965 for married couples and 1972 for the unmarried.

I'm sure those laws are why some say Only for prevention of disease
