3 silver, 10 Indians & 8 wheats

I was headed to a town park I have never hunted or seen before when I ran into road construction in a town on the way there. Seen some sidewalks ripped up so I decided to give it a try. Score!!

caution, the copper condition is terrible, photo's not fro the faint of heart.

The seated dimes number 8 and 9 for the year. This year is close to doubling my total seated dime finds.

The thin 1877 dime is a CC and the 1888 is an S. Love those mint marks.

This Indian is not the best condition coin I found this weekend but probably the best date, 1873. The coin is a little cockeyed in the photo. As you can see the condition of the coin when lost was great until the corrosion ate it up.

Congrats.

I've had the same terrible condition coins come out from under/by sidewalks. I'm wondering is there is something in the concrete that just kills the coppers. I would have thought the sidewalks would have protected them somewhat from the elements and preserve them in better condition.

I believe lime is an ingredient in cement or concrete.
