I actually had the Micronta. Was my very first detector I received as a gift.
radio Shack used to sell them. overall, a very crappy machine with little depth BUT it planted the seed and also taught me the concept of ground balancing on day one. That detector will not work at all if not finely tuned (at least mine didn't).

It's not ergonomic at all either. Very uncomfortable to swing in a short time.

I found lots of trash and a few small treasures with it.
I gave my to a kid I know when he was maybe 11. It planted the seed for him as well.
We all start somewhere.

A few years later I upgraded to a BH Tracker IV ( which I also gave away to the son of my GF, who was 7 at the time). I thought I was the treasure king after that upgrade.
I found a 10K Men's wedding band about 10-15 minutes into my first hunt with it and was instantly hooked.
I detected daily for the next 3+ years. I've gotten away from detecting over the last 3+ years but getting ready to get back into it after locating some new spots. I have some nice machines now and just ordered a new pinpointer last week.

The time has come.
