Image (39).jpg A trip to the local supermarket today gave me a chance to check the Coinstar machine and it paid off with 32 coins including a 1959 Washington Quarter, the 4th silver coin from Coinstar this year. Two of the pennies are wheats, a 1943 steel cent and maybe a 1919, but are in very rough shape. The plain round object is just a piece of copper worn smooth.

You nailed it, WOW!

I dumped last years pennies at the coinstar yesterday, it jammed up, like usual, so I went and got the attendant. She gave me what was in the dirt cup, I was elated to see 2 dimes and 2 pennies, but alas the dimes were clad.

Congrats on that nice haul.

Thanks, it was the biggest haul so far this year.

Thanks...at least you got some extra coins from the cup.

That smooth copper disk doesn't look like it could be a very worn large cent, huh?
I've seen some crazy old stuff ran through those machines!
