So a while back i found what i thought was a surveyors chain, until i reexamined it today and realized it couldnt be due to its inaccuracies and not correct length links... I decided to clean it better, revealed s silver color... So i acid tested it, and it removed the silver color and revealed copper underneath... But what im wondering, who wears a 32inch+ chain.... thing weighs 79 grams... found on a farm that has colonial history..

Hmmm....definitely a neat find, highly doubt it was farmer bling tho...has too much of an "industrial" feel to it...im very curious of the origin, I bet if you moved it to the "what is it?" forum, some sharp-eyed T-Netter will nail it down, very few things slip thru the cracks over there...thx for posting, let us know what you find out!...ddf
