38.66 ounces of German silver, the good kind!

Hello, good day at Salvation Army- they piled all the silver plate into one chest and marked it $25.

But mixed in was some of the good stuff- a big service of .835 with German hallmarks. There was also a couple Japanese motif cocktail spoons and a sterling sugar(?) spoon. The service weighs in at 38.66 with 32.28 pure silver. Then the sterling weighs in at 1.31 and 1.24 pure. Total comes to 33.52 ounces of pure silver (not counting the weighted stuff).

Do you sell it for scrap? Or just resell it? Or what?

Hallmark is a crescent and crown- but the tip off was being marked .835, which is a common standard in Europe. I'm not 100% great at hallmarks either, so I just observe quality and weight when I'm looking.

I haven't really done much but stack up silver. I've got cabinets full of stuff for scrapping or reselling. I've been waiting years to send another pile to the refiner (Midwest refineries was great) and the rest I'm still looking for a buyer.

This stuff I'll probably use myself- I already have a sterling service I bought a couple years ago, but I can see using this one too.
