Well I was covering old grounds and expanding the perimeter on the colony site, and started back towards capron, after 30 minutes of nothing I turned back and walked right along the same line. And like it was meant to be,i plucked my 3rd and by far nicest 1837 dime. While there may not seem like there is anything special about this coin, mintage records show this being a lower strike #
and of course the icing on the cake it is the same year as my area was established,so one could say this has some history to it
Enjoy

Beautiful! Lovely example of a capped dime, that would make my month.

Tremendous find, and its in terrific shape. Those capped bust dimes have long eluded me. The thought of finding three from the same year is mind-boggling.

Great find! I found a half dime a month ago that same date. Is that Ft Pierce Florida? That's close to where I found by cob coins.

That is one heck of a sweet find. Glad to see that kind of find. I'm just starting out and love to see nice old coins like that. It motivates mem even though I haven't found anything old yet myself. GL & HH
