Hunted a lake where I found a gold cross last week. In three hours I found a junk earring, some clad, and trash. Stopped by another lake on the way home where people do a lot of jet skiing and tubing. Found two gold rings in knee deep water. 10 K with heart shaped ruby 2.4 g and 14k band 5.6 g. New to water detecting, been on a roll. My friends that have been water detecting for years told me not to get used to it, because I am beating the odds. I knew that, but I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

Congrats on your gold. You are in a great spot. Is your gold coming up in the mid-high 40's onscreen? I air tested some gold rings and that is where mine was ringing in at.

The ruby ring read 52 and the band read 64. I air tested gold rings from 1 gram to 5.6 grams, and they read from 42 to 64. I found a 4.9 gram 14k cross that reads 42. The AT PRO has a much broader range on gold than my ACE 250.

Nice going man. Congrats. I still have yet to find gold with my AT pro. What signals are you getting for gold 40 to 50's??? are they solid signals?

You are right about the wider range on the AT. When you get those Foil/Pulltab targets with the ace you best be digging them. This Gold is a challenge with the ATPro for me you have yours dialed in. Thanks for the reply.

Good solid signals with tight pinpointing. Pull tabs sound almost as good, and nickels sound just like rings.

Beautiful ring, ruby heart-shaped cut is very cute!
Gold is always beautiful!
I hope one day to find a beautiful ring as his own, and a fine specimen fish like your avatar!
A triple congratulations! :icon_thumright: :hello2:
