I AM NOT SURE WHAT THESE ARE. MAYBE PARTS TO AN OLD WIND CHIME? I FOUND THEM IN SUCCESSION ABOUT 3-4 FT APART AND EACH ABOUT 5-6 INCHES DEEP..........I AM HUNTING ONE OF THE OLDEST INTERSECTIONS IN AMERICA...THE OLD COLONIAL RIVER IN HANOVER, VA

ANY HELP ON THESE ITEMS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

As a fellow Hanover County relic hunter, I know what you are talking about when you say historical area lol. They look awesome but they lack any patina? Interesting and I am curious what other people say about them. I will be hunting again this Saturday in Hanover. HH

Nice stuff! Looks to be in good condition to be in the ground. No clue what it is. It almost looks like the top bell portion of an old telephone?

Patrick,

I am good, thanks for asking. I like your finds but to me they just lack any patina if they are brass or copper. But, why would identical items be laid out in a field unless dropped by someone? With all the activity in the area, it is hard to say. They just look to new in my honest opinion.

If found in very close proximity I would bet on end caps for some type of legged device or table.
Do the holes go through on the end? Would a nail have been able to have been driven through the hole into a wooden leg or shaft?
