That I found a pretty cool site! :hello:
I think I could find some cool stuff, I just have to work it for a while.

There is a bridge that crosses the San Joaquin River. On the West side of the bridge is a strip of land along the river that people go fishing.
On the west side of the river south of the bridge is the location of San Joaquin City, established in 1849.
The city is no longer there, but you can walk along the river and go fishing.
The location is where pioneers crossed on Durhams Ferry.

How did I find it?
Google Ghost towns in California.
Found this:
List of ghost towns in California - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wikipedia search for San Joaquin City:
San Joaquin City, California - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Googlemaps for: 31167 Kasson Road, Tracy
And then BAM! Got my location.

I invite all you San Joaquin Metal Detector Hounds to search the area.
However, there are tons of stuff .... you know the stuff I'm talking about.
Bottle caps, aluminum bags, cans, tabs and etc...
But somewhere in there is something nice and I'm gonna find it!

See you out there!

-Joanne

Edit: After doing a little more research, I found that there is a historical landmark near the location. Of course, you don't want to go MDing around it, but I think along the river where people fish would probably be okay.
