40 minute refresher, silver? Ring

Today my son and I went to the local Park to practice since we rarely get to hunt. In 40 minutes here's what we found. Fun day

The ring has no markings...

Really good for only 40 minutes! I was out for an hour yesterday and pulled up 6 rusty nails.

You can take it to a jewlery store and they will check it out for ya! See if it sticks to a magnet first. If it does,Don't bother taking it to a jewler..good luck

Does NOT stick to a magnet...my suspicion is that it is Sterling.

Looks like one of those silver home made rings. Back in the 70's I knew a few people that use to make them.

Looks to be silver to me based on the color and design - a fair amount of silver isnt marked, especially older native ringd. But how did it ring up on your detector? I usually always double check the detector ID on silver jewelry after I dig it because my detector easily picks out plated (rings up in the penny range) vs the real thing.
