Really good for only 40 minutes! I was out for an hour yesterday and pulled up 6 rusty nails. :BangHead:
 

You can take it to a jewlery store and they will check it out for ya! See if it sticks to a magnet first. If it does,Don't bother taking it to a jewler..good luck

Does NOT stick to a magnet...my suspicion is that it is Sterling.
 

Looks like one of those silver home made rings. Back in the 70's I knew a few people that use to make them.

Looks to be silver to me based on the color and design - a fair amount of silver isnt marked, especially older native ringd. But how did it ring up on your detector? I usually always double check the detector ID on silver jewelry after I dig it because my detector easily picks out plated (rings up in the penny range) vs the real thing.
