Got this big sterling silver fork for 25 cents at a thrift store today - it is about 7.5 inches long and weighs 40.7 grams. It was in with a whole bunch of other mismatched spoons and forks. I ended up buying this fork and a nice stainless fork for 50 cents plus 4 cents tax - for a total of a 54 cent purchase. In scrap the fork is worth slightly over $20. A great deal! :treasurechest::icon_pirat:-Yar!

Excellent save.

I always check for silver at the thrifts stores but never find any; only silver plate.
They got wise to the treasure seekers a few years back but it was fun while it lasted.
