Went to a very old location...1st time for me .

Needless to say i was very busy digging.....musket balls and bullets everywhere !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the site dates back to 1700s

Was only there a few minutes and came acroos the 2 items about 10 feet apart .... the bottom pictures.

Pretty sure they are made of pewter.... and the inset diamonds ??? have me possibly excited or are they fake ?

And what are they ???? Are they old....and if they are ..did they make fake diamonds back then ?? They sure look old. !!!!

They are the same at the tops --but they do not match at the bottoms..obviously from the same thing or set.

COOL...very nice..ty

Do you have a picture of the clock with that attached ?..would be neat to see

Cloak, not clock haha. I don't have a photo with the garment attached. Never been able to find one, but I am certain that is what those were. Why else would button shanks be braised onto the back of those items. They are not common finds. I've only seen 3 dug in 22 years.

Cheers,

Buck

yes... same for me---- on land they are covered in a thick white powder.

in the saltwater they come out very dark grey/black....gotta be the soil.

Actually the white is from more exposure to oxygen typically I want to say.
