Hi all, went out real quick and found lots of .22 cal ammo, a 1940 wheatie, some whatchamacallit ring thing and what I think is a .44 Henry Rimfire! 12 gauge shell The ring thing is that a grommet of some kind hard to tell from the pic good diggings bro!!!!!

I think Henry rifles and also Win. M-1866 used those bullets but they both had dual firing pins. That one was fired in some other brand of gun. Gary

If the casing is a 44 rim fire it was from a British pistol. I think they were made in the 1868 era.

Thanks all, I posted in what is it also. Single round firing pin wasn't too common for this round. This is why I love metal detecting, get to go home and the hunt continues with the help from you all!
