Nearly finished the fave field today in like summer weather. Finds thinned out, as yesterday not a single button just some of the small roman coins. Still lead in the ground... A find i only recognized at home were the .45 ACP bullets. I rarely dig them anyway and today i had three of them out of the same part of the field. My guess is they were fired during US advance in Feb. 1945. The Troops came along this field as the farmers dad told me once. Heavy fighting took place in the village, severad dead soldiers of both parties in the farms courtyard...
Roman finds were 7 coins and a small childs ring. Dug a couple nails too. One hobnail displayed.

Still some very nice results from the hunt. When putting the penny into the picture, the coinage are pretty small.

All of these are smaller than a penny. The one on the penny is the smallest type we get here with a diameter between 1/4 and 3/8. It doesn't get smaller when it comes to roman coins.

That small one is about twice the size of the small ones we are getting lately, thats why I commented that we have done that particular site to near death.
